Trail Song

Last week we set off  with our lovely friend  Luke Joyce to the beach with our knitting needles in tow. Knitting on a big concrete block with crazy wind is harder than it looks, but we think the video has turned out amazingly.

It was a real privilege to be involved, not only because I Build Collapsible Mountains is one of our favourite musicians, but the song means even more to us as it's written about Iona's Granda.

'Trail Song' is part of the 'Spectator & The Act' album which will be released on 11th October.

AND the video also incorporates one of our community projects - Right here. Right now. You can read more about that here.

Starting From Stitch

Calling all craft beginners, Starting From Stitch is back!

Always wanted to learn how to sew, embroider & knit but don't know where to start? Starting From Stitch is the set of workshops for you.

As the poster says, it is a set of 4 workshops teaching you the basics in hand-sewing, embroidery and knitting. Each week you'll come home with a new skill & a lovely make made with your very own hands, including a fabric plushie, embroidered sketchbook cover & knitted purse.

(made by previous Starting From Stitch-ers Lindsay Finnie, Diana Jonsson & Rachel Somner)

On the last week you'll work together as a group, using your newly learnt craft skills to make a group project.

The next session of Starting From Stitch begins on 21st September and continues on 28th September, 5th & 12th October.

To book your space, click here to pay your £10 deposit, then just bring along £10 with you each week. This includes all tutoring, materials & nibbles.
